A representative list of medieval and ancient Armenian monuments in Artsakh that would be likely eradicated if Azerbaijan captured the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic or the “buffer zone” territories surrounding it. Even if not completely destroyed, the Armenian inscriptions of all these monuments would be undoubtly destroyed.

Significant khachkar (cross-stone) monuments:

  • 13th-century double-khachkars of Khutavank
  • The famous khachkar of Hasan Jalali with Star of David
